Libby Zion

Good long article on the Libby Zion case from 1996 (I was a PGY-4). It took years for many of the New York reforms to be adopted nationally. Many of the issues still exist, although many of the hourly reforms have helped. The biggest change was shifting critical decision making responsibility upwards from from interns and students to senior residents and attendings.
